Advancing Communication Strategies in the Middle East

The Middle East Strategic Communication Conference is a platform for organizations to discuss challenges and opportunities in emerging forms of communication, as well as evolving strategies to keep their audiences better informed. Strategic communication is crucial for organizations to communicate with their external audiences, as it is the link between the organization’s mission and goals, and their realization. The conference will cover several areas of communication, including modern media strategies, institutional communication, public relations, electronic media strategies, and more.

About The Conference

The Middle East Conferences for Strategic Communications MESTEC have been held annually by the Council of Arab International Relations CARINTER a charity registered in England & Wales under No 112430 since 2005. They are supervised by the Arab Association for Press and Media and organized by the Gulf Center for Strategic Communication (GSC).

GULF CENTER FOR STRATEGIC COMMUNICATION

The Gulf Center for Strategic Communication (GSC) is an international training center affiliated with the Council of Arab International Relations CARINTER. It is one of the few Arab centers specialized in strategic communication, such as media, public relations, and communication.

COUNCIL OF ARAB INTERNATIONAL RELATIONS

CARINTER is a registered charity by Charity Commission in England and Wales since 2005 under No. 1112403. It promotes more understanding and dialogue between Arab people and other nations of the world.

Event Schedule

The conference is divided into two main segments:

Opening Ceremony Arab Media Awards

The conference opens with the announcement of the annual Awards for Gulf and Arab journalism and media persons. This award recognizes individuals and organizations that have played a significant role in expressing Arab identity and unity, and have developed innovative methods of media, public relations, and communication.

Conference Sessions

The conference will feature six sessions spread over two days, with three sessions per day. The schedule of sessions is as follows:

DAY 1

  1. Media strategies during emergencies, crises and disasters:
    New and modern media strategies for economic institutions and corporates during Corona and beyond. Developing the philosophy of modern media strategies for government institutions (societal, educational, health, services, and economic).
  2. Developing the notions, concepts and strategies of modern public relations, and its economic, social and national role.
  3. The revolution of television and radio broadcasting: TV radio as an example.
    Workshop: What is required of governmental, commercial and economic institutions to develop their media strategies and public relations.

DAY 2

  1. E-media marketing strategies:
    Product marketing and sales strategies to customers and the public. Strategies for marketing national and societal visions.
  2. Education and E. media toward a new strategy: children and students are the media’s new professionals.
  3. The concept of government and institutional communication and its role in marketing the national vision, economic institutions, and the tourism sector.
    Workshop: How do we develop strategies for marketing, electronic media, and institutional and government communication?

How to Register and the Fees for the Conference
Registration fees for the conference are as follows:

Participants within the Sultanate: $1000 USD, with certificates of attendance stamped by each of the Arab Association for Press and Media (ARAPRESS) along with the seal of the Gulf Center for 11 Strategic Communications (GSC).

Participants outside the Sultanate: $1600 USD, with certificates of attendance stamped by each of the Arab Press and Media Association (ARAPRESS) along with the seal of the Gulf Center for 11 Strategic Communications (GSC).

In addition to the registration fee, all participants (except for those with free seats allocated to sponsors) can submit a working or research paper with a certificate of acceptance from Arab Press.
